Has he proven himself AT ALL to ask for more money for ANYTHING?

In any other job, a raise is based on performance and merit.

He had zilch to do in either Twilight film. He was not good in his Nightmare on Elm Street cameo.

He has not demonstrated any market value to bring in box office.

All things considered, on what basis can he ask for more money?

I am free. But life is so cheap.

Well considering the level of money the Twilight franchise is bringing in, it'd be considerate of the film studio to give the actor's a pay raise.

Lady Gaga's "Alejandro" is the best "music video acting as a movie" of the year!

he asks for money cuz he's a douchebag. He thinks he's the *beep* but little does he know that he is merely *beep*

Jeez Blunic3, resentful much? I'm sure this guy will lose lots of sleep when he finds out he is "merely *beep*." He'll have to spend a few minutes counting the money he has and you don't in order to nod off again.

Anyway, everyone should know by now that pay scales in Hollywood aren't based on merit, but on the amount of money you bring to the "brand" (in his case the Twilight movies) and/or the amount of $$ the brand makes. If you're lucky enough to be the one in a billion goodlooking young actors who's picked to play a small but recurring part in a hugely successful series, your pay is going to bump up in later installments of the film series simply because it can--the series is making a ton of money and fans want the same people playing the same roles they did before. Maybe that's "unfair," but no more so than just about everything else in life.
