Back in the Moonlight-era, you could tell he had a but if an accent, especially when he said "vampire" and "Josef". But I agree, on Hawaii five-0, he's fantastic!!
shareI thought he was from New Jersey! Such a shock when I saw him on Ellen and his Aussie came creeping back. It sounds so strange to my ears that I can hardly bear to listen to him. (Not because EWWW - I like Aussie voices - but because TOO WEIRD PLEASE STOP.)
It was the same with Chris Hemsworth. I saw him in Star Trek and then in Thor, and then I heard his real voice. Jeez, what is it with these guys? How do they manage to sound more American than the guys who actually grew up here?
