The war or civil war in Syria from what I understand was, and still is, about a proposed pipeline from middle east to Europe.

Russia interfered in Syria because it would compete with Russian pipelines to Europe.

Now Russian pipelines are sanctioned, Russia has less incentive to support Assad. Also because of Ukraine war Russia has less resources to do so.

In middle east it is always about oil and oil profits. Even the Russia and Ukraine war in the end is also about oil and pipelines.

Oil is a blessing and curse.

I wonder what it will be like when everything is electric and batteries. The colbalt mines will be the new oil fields.

One more reason to get rid of Putin.

Anyway, as long as they don't nationalise it, it is going to be fine.
