Saoirse's News Summary Continuation

I made a new thread as the other one was really long.

Has this been posted? A nice long 36 interview from Tiff

Nice to see what is hopefully the first of many awards for Saoirse and Brooklyn this season, though the name "New Hollywood Award" makes me laugh a bit. I have to remind myself that not everyone knows Saoirse's talent and résumé as well as we do. It's a little late, but I guess welcome to Hollywood Saoirse! 

Wonder how many more newcomer awards she'll receive like that. Time will tell. At least this awards season should hopefully fully establish her name (and its spelling/pronunciation if we're lucky).

True. They gave her a great nom when she was 13. This sounds to me like an anticipatory type of award.

I actually think it makes sense. Yes, Saoirse has a very impressive resume so far. But most of the achievements are part of her child/teenage career, which is a separate thing. So Brooklyn can definitely be considered the breakout role of her adult career.

By the way, I think that Saoirse has the chance to become the youngest two time Oscar nominee ever. At least I can't think of anyone else who achieved this at age 21.

Hello pan. Saoirse would be the second youngest ever because Angela Landsbury was a bit younger when she snagged her second. It would be quite an achievement nonetheless.

Ah, right. But maybe she can become the youngest actress to receive two times an Oscar, Golden Globe and BAFTA nomination in the same year. It would basically be a continuation of a previous record she already established for her role in Atonement.

That's impressive. Perhaps she will achieve some additional records considering her Brooklyn performance has a real chance at a number of major nominations.

Look who attended the Brooklyn premiere at the NYFF:

Perhaps he'll select her to star in his next picture.
