In Eden in the scene where she's with her father in the back if the store, she says not a word to her father. In rife scene she looks cute and bashful, but I realized that the actress really doesn't know a word of Korean and I guess couldn't learn any for the small scene that required it

Of course this is speculation, as much of posts on this website are, but I wouldn't be surprised if she had to partake in casting couch "auditions". From the era of pervs like Harry Cohn and Darryl F. Zanuck to today, I'm not going to be shocked if this practice is still alive and well. Unfortunately, people who want breaks (especially if their daddy or mommy aren't big name stars) are treated like commodities and have to do the nastiest things with the nastiest people in Hollywood to be successful.
