Today Debbie Reynolds just one day after her daughter Carrie Fisher.
I don't know about the rest of you, but, I am overwhelmed. David Bowie, Prince, George Michael and on and on. A horrible record must have been set.
Here's to hoping the next few days pass quickly and quietly.

I hear ya sammie . Its been a very bad year and the whole Carrie Fisher / Debbie Reynolds deaths are the ultimate punch to the gut. Terribly tragic all around . Just horrible. I feel for their family .

Yes Sammie. 2016 has been a terrible year for rock/pop greats. Besides Bowie and Prince, there was Leonard Cohen too.

Agree with all mentioned above. I am almost afraid to look at the news feed on my computer and Facebook. 2016 came in hard with Bowie and Rickman and now is going out just as hard. Bring on the New Year.

Yes, there has been a lot of significant passings this year. The Memorium at the Oscars will probably be longer than usual. And many rockers like Bowie and Prince made films too and could be included. All very sad.

Plus some of their songs were artfully used in films. Think of Leonard Cohen's songs in "McCabe and Mrs Miller", Bowie's "Starman" in "The Martian" and "Moonage Daydream" in "Guardians of the Galaxy".
