I guess this is goodbye? :(

Ladies, I just logged in to say goodbye to some of you (I see Curzon, Tracy tonight... maybe some of the other ladies I knew back then will see this too, I hope) after someone told me that IMDB is sadly doing away with these discussion boards by the 20th of this month. I admit I wasn't very active in recent years... real life basically took over my virtual existence and had me up to here dealing with various family issues, illness, a big move, etc...

BUT.... I wanted to say that I will always, ALWAYS remember the wonderful times and laughs I had with you all on Rob's board here, not to mention that I am so, so proud of him for having the courage and steadiness of mind to get on with his career making movies he always loved to watch and making friends everywhere in the industry that values him much more than just "Edward". So even though I don't always come here, I have made sure to watch all of his work since and take everyone even remotely curious with me :D

I will miss reading your comments and threads... if you're all going somewhere en masse to continue the conversation about Rob's career, don't forget to let me know at [email protected], and I'll be there with bells on.

Check your PMs. It's so good to hear from you again. Real life has kept a lot of us busy, but we're still Rob fans. So much to be proud of the past few years, and especially now. Another premiere at Berlinale and Good Time and Damsel opening later this year.

He's made such smart choices and stayed true to himself, down to earth and still so good to fans.

It really is the end of an era for us, though. I still can't believe IMDB is doing this.

Why are they doing this? Is it the bandwidth? I would gladly pitch in if it was money they needed :(

Any place we can do a petition or something, or is it too late?

They didn't give a reason, but it must be economic. These boards don't bring them any specific revenue (unless you count page hits for the banner ads, but I don't know how they're factoring that).

I think it's too late. They've made up their minds. It's really bad because there isn't any place else like this.

Yeah. Very much, that is me. Somewhat, I like the closure IMDB is bringing to a couple of decades of films and fandoms. I am glad to have been part of Twilight and eventually Rob's fandom.

Yeah, it looks like they just made a financial decision. Very sad. We definitely have had some fun times.

So sad to see this place go, but what fun to see it go just as Rob is promoting LCOZ. We've seen him come a long way, haven't we?

It really is so bittersweet. I have loved all of the time I have spent here. We have had so much fun. It's really been nice seeing so many from over the years making an appearance here the last week. Really going to miss the format. Twitter is interesting, but, Not quite the same.

Not sure how this move will work out for IMDB. Many on boards are subscribers.

Luna, I wish I could like your post. Good seeing you too. I'm sorry this had to end. I'm betting IMDB will experience a drop in hits once they do away with the boards. I know that listening in on and reading people's comments and posts on various movies and shows was one of the highlights of why I came here...

I'm glad Rob is doing so well. Will see you on the other places...

Thanks, Darrah. I have not decided yet what/when sites I want to join.
So far, my focus have shifted to another fandom: the "love to HATE Trump"😂

I wish you good luck as well as the rest of Rob's fans joining many fandom sites.
