I also heard a rumor that they're planning category fraud, and pushing her for Best Supporting. She's not a supporting actress, she's the center of the film.
They do that sometimes to give an actor a better chance at winning. I remember Christoph Waltz getting best supporting actor for Django Unchained, even though he was arguably the main character. Had as much screen time and dialogue as anyone in the movie.
shareI will allow Waltz as a supporting actor, because he did die 2/3 of the way through the film. If he blew star Jamie Foxx off the screen until then, it's because he's just that much better.
But is this year's Best Actress race so strong that Colman's people don't think she has a chance? Because I haven't seen anyone be half as good as her this year. She really was amazing.
