Miscast in Mercy Street

She looks far too modern for this project.

I also feel like it's taking away from her ability to be a bigger star.

She's a commercial look, not a period look actress and needs to own it.

That is your view not Fact.

Apparently you have never seen her as Samantha Parkington (American Girl). She is very much suited for period projects.

I don't know exactly what this means... Too beautiful? Too cute? Too young and edgy?  However, I think AnnaSophia's appearance, as charming, fits.

Not so much miscast as underutilized. So far, Alice's rebellious actions have been a little interesting, although, the character lacks so many of the personality traits that ASR does so well with. Basically, the show, I assume, is doing nothing to aid Robb's career.

I have seen most of Anna's project as matter of fact.

Had she had a brown wig or more realistic shade of blonde perhaps that would have helped

Usually they do not allow highlights in period film casting.

She is too modern of a look with the hair, and perfect white teeth and modern facial features and toned build

I don't think the problem is her appearance as much as it is her stereotypical, exaggerated deep-south accent. It's absurdly over the top and makes her performances in general pretty unpalatable. I don't know who her voice coach was for the show, but whoever's in charge needs to have a serious conversation with them.

Then overall they should have gotten someone for the role that had the right look AND accent.
