the first time
I just recently discovered this movie. I found the preformance delivered by the leading lady referenced above to be rather spot on for intensity and emotional clarity. The only scene in which I believe there was either a piece of bad editing or just an emotion that stumped her completely, was when the male lead said he didn't know what was normal for a female, and needed a schematic (in reference to genitals)......there was hardly any expression or emotion portrayed in this one instance. This confuses me, no anger, no bashfulness, no embarassment. One failed scene out of all the monologues contained therein, not too bad. All in all, for the Lead role casting alone, I would watch this movie again, and again.
There was a rather distressing part to the movie, however, and that was the ammount of skin that was displayed on screen. I truely hope, Ms. Robertson, that you do not succumb to the errant ways of the young actresses, and decide upon nudity in films. A Teaser now and then is fine, but much like everything else in the world, once there is no longer a mystery involved, boredom sets in. I've seen several of the previous works this talented actress has done, and was quite shocked to see as much flesh as there was in The First Time. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy it, as Any male with heterosexual attractions would, I just don't want to see any more of it, if you know what I mean.
