I really don't see it and don't think he will become this big star they are trying to turn him into. Looks like another Taylor Kitsch.

shareI went to this website to start this same topic. I liked him in Hidden Figures and Top Gun…but as someone else pointed out, I see him more as a supporting actor and not the main. He’s gonna need more charisma and the perfect role to win me over as a lead actor. He comes off bland, but I’ll rooting for him.

shareTotally agree! I see him splashed everywhere as the next big thing. His publicist must be the hardest working one in Hollywood. Anyway, I find him bland, although I liked him in Hidden Figures.
sharePowell is probably the only young male actor who remotely piques my interest if he’s on the billing. He has a likeable cocky presence and good acting chops.
He’s no Pacino but he’s a talented star-in-the-making and I wish him the best 🍻
