HARD GUN on Blu Ray - What's this movie?

I tried looking up this movie, but even IMDB does not seem to have it. does anyone know if this is a retitling of an older movie? And I tried looking for a movie that closely resembles this plot and judging from the Thai title Nuk leng klong yao 2001 might be this movie. But the plot description at HKflixs claims that: "Martial Arts superstar Tony Jaa ("The Protector", "Ong-Bak") co-stars with his mentor Panna Rittikrai in this non-stop action assault on your senses. In an atypical role for Jaa, Tony plays the villain being hunted down by police officer Rittikrai." In IMDB it only states that Rittikrai directed the movie, not star in it with Tony who plays a "bad guy"? Anybody have any ideas?

Don't know what it is, but here's another link for ordering:

Here's an article about it:

It looks like a movie they made together before Ong Bak was shot.

check out tonyjaa.org. they have screenshots.

there's a bunch of old thai movies with Tony Jaa being released in North America in anticipation of Ong Bak 2. Hate to say it, but most are probably very low budget and not worth watching. I'll check them out anyways though.

In case you're curious, Hard Gun is easily one of the worst films you could see! I'm not sure if you've seen other Thai action movies like The Bodyguard (in which Jaa has a cameo), but Hard Gun is a lot different from Ong Bak in its absurdly broad attempt at comedy. The action is stale and slow, the comic relief (pretty much everyone except Jaa) is flat out unfunny (and frankly ugly as sin, too), and the entire soundtrack was lifted from Mortal Kombat, The Last of the Mohicans, and GoldenEye. See this movie if you dare, but you'll leave wondering how in the hell people even know that Thailand has a film industry.

Yeah this movie was really bad.
Not only did the action suck (except for the final scene in which Jaa steals the show, obviously) the dubbing was rediculously horrible. There was one whiney dorky guy with a really queer voice, and then the bad guy has the dubbing of a black gangster.

I'm not even really sure what was going on throughout the movie.

The guy above me is right too, the soundtrack is noticeably stolen from Mortal Kombat 1. And it came out one year after, and both MK movies were partially filmed in Thailand. Go figure.

You are right, evilronin. I own the DVD and the movie you are talking about is indeed "Nuk leng klong yao".

Thanks. I'll wait for the $2 bin. LOL
