Failure at box office with warrior king?

It says in the trivia bit of warrior king that the film failed at the box office despite being at number 4? and that other movies being considered for tony jaa were scrapped? is it me or is that like one of the worst decisions ever? this guy is amazing and these films are way better than any coming from the west, i agree with other posts that tony needs a good part over here in order to better establish himself, i think it would be awsome if it were to happen! with ong bak to do you tihnk it will get a theatrical release over here?

Warrior King aka Ong Bak 2 aka Tom Yum Goong aka The Protector did poorly in Europe and some Asian countries but I know in the US it made around $10 million which is means it made its money back. Plus it probably did well in Thailand.

Damien Frost and The 2012 Effect, coming in 2010.

that false, tom yum goong is thailand highest grossing movie world wide, succeeding it predecessor ong bak. it may not hav been a blockbuster, but financially it a success. it a blockbuster in thailand and gather a cult following on dvd world wide. But due to it lack of story, it did not gather audience outside of the genre.

tony wont likely get a US movie deal anytime soon. similar to jackie chan, he would hav a hard time finding insurance company in the US that would insured him. and even if they do they would restrict his activity like they did jackie. tony jaa that doesnt fly is no fun.

PS they should do a michael jackson movie starring tony jaa. they look sooooo alike!!!! thriller the movie, tony jaa as michael kicking zombie arse xD
