Tony Jaa as Liu Kang?
Seriously he could play a great Liu Kang in the new Mortal Kombat reboot. He's got the badass skills i doubt about his English though. What do you guys think?

shareliu kang is from China, tony jaa is from Thailand. But, if tony was from china...then you bet your ass he would play a good liu kang.
shareTony Jaa actually was the stunt double for Liu Kang(Robin Shou) in Mortal Kombat 2 so yeah I'd say hes more than qualified to play Liu Kang.
shareHave you seen Jaa's first few movies? The movie is a complete showcase of Jaa copying Bruce Lee fighting style.
shareAre you surprised? Jaa said that Bruce was his main influence.
shareActually jp3183 Tony Jaa doesnt just know Muay Thai, if u watch his movies and know basic types of martial arts you will notice that he combines many different styles of fighting for example many of the high kicks he uses is from Taekwondo. Tony's trained in about 5 different martial arts, including Muay Thai of course.
I think he would make a great Liu Kang
no he is not quilified he is only a stunt double nothing more... oh and yeah robin shau is a champion martial artist.. tony only did stunts that were dangerous ie high ledges robin shau did most of his stunt he dont need tony jaa he is better fighter and better martial artist and another thing tony jaa has only trained in movie martial arts he is just another jackie chan with out jackie chans popularity
