Needs to take on father roles now
While Efron hasn't lost his looks, he looks every bit of his 36-37 years after seeing him in Ricky Stanicky. In it, he played an unmarried, childless, 'frat boy'. He can not play these roles anymore. The next chapter of his career has unfolded. If he wants to play a role like Kevin Spacey did in American Beauty, have at it. It would be perfectly believable for a younger gal to be infatuated with him. But he needs to play middle-aged (or approaching middle age) dads. If he doesn't make the transition now, it will be too late and his career will be over. I hope for his sake, his agent reads these blogs. I'm old enough to know how fickle the movie-going public is toward actors and actresses, and the public will not stand for any more of these roles that he was right for 10-15 years ago, but no longer suited for today.
