Is his performance? He only has two looks - the angry/annoyed one and the suave/calm one. Not many dimensions, which is a shame. I did enjoy him in the OC but he s let me down in Gotham. What do you guys think?

shareI too agree he lacks any range as a actor. I have watched him in The OC, Southland and now Gotham and his acting has never really improved.
shareI agree. Was giving him the benefit of the doubt the first episodes. But he isnt improving much. Very shallow acting or overacting. The boy who plays bruce is such a talented actor, much better.

Harsh review-easily the worst thing about Gotham is Jada Pinkett's terrible overacting. In an otherwise well-acted and entertaining show she still managed to stand out even with a character who has some qualities that make you want to like them.
I never saw this actor act before, but he certainly does a well enough job of making me like his character as portrayed in the show. My only quip is his reluctance to kill Barbara...a true annoyance.
