For those who think Eden is too 'old' to portray a 14-yr-old

let me just give you my quick 2 cents on this topic (esp "C"), as I've seen it come up a lot:

A) It's not THAT much of a stretch (that is, Eden playing a young teen - she knows how to ACT as an insecure, awkward teen, via her mannerisms, etc., even if she's fully "developed" in a physical sense).

B) Even if it were (a stretch), who cares, it's TV, and they have "poetic license."

C) And most importantly, do you know how much EASIER it is for a production company to hire 18 yrs + actors and actresses to portray teenagers? By law, those under 18 (or at least 16) have to study several hrs/day on the set with personal tutors, by law, they can't work as many hours as adults, which obviously can put a strain on the filming schedule. Since they HAD to hire one minor to play the youngest, Brick, they probably film his scenes first; hence, making sure all scenes will be completed in time to broadcast. Imagine having to direct/produce a show like "Brady Bunch" or "Little House" with a zillion kid actors?!? It's so much easier for them to hire adults, if they can get away with it - and again, I think Eden does a fabulous job PORTRAYING a nerdy, insecure, teenage girl!! So what if she looks a tad bit older??

I thought she really was around 15ish. She doesnt look 20.

You seem to contradict yourself between your first and second statement, unless "freshman" is the operative word in the first one. In any case, people mature at different rates. I knew a girl who had boobs like that in junior high.

Yeah I thought she was around 15ish too.

Her character is 16, and I think Eden could pass for 13(An early bloomer 13 of course).

I think she comes of well as younger. You can tell she's a tad older but it's not super obvious like it is on some shows. Also big breasts are perfectly plausible in a high school girl. I had pretty big boobs at 14. I actually never got bra fitted properly but they would have been at least a C cup on a skinny frame, maybe even bigger (they are now DD and I'm in my early 20s and I don't recall them having grown in the last few years). I don't understand why people saying the fact she has reasonably big breasts means she can't be a teenager. Most people in high school have gone through puberty so they will already be developed. Admittedly, they had the recent episode with Sue's period, which suggests she's not an early developer, but still, in my opinion her body isn't that odd for a 14 year old. And she acts it very well. And yes, it is a lot easier having an 18 year old on set. At least she was around 18 (17?) when they cast her and not 25.

She does a really good job and definitely looks the part, unlike the old guys on Glee.
