Loved him in my Soul to Take

I agree, I love this movie and why does it only have a 4.6 score on imdb? I think it deserves at least a 7... And Max is so handsome and talented, this movie could have been his big break. For a Wes Craven movie I'm surprised it wasn't more popular...

I think perhaps it wasn't scary enough for some people. But still, i think it deserved more of a audience, and i didn't really know of Max before the movie. I absolutely loved the speech scene. It was so well done

I liked that movie a lot too, but the reason why nobody's career got a huge boost (if anyone got noticed at all for that movie), was because the studio had little faith in that movie. Therefor, Rogue pictures pretty much dumped the movie and didn't bother to promote it very much. The movie also wasn't screened for critics, which in the end after all of this caused the movie to flop at the box office. But I agree, a 4.6 rating is low. To me, it's a love-hate film. Either you will like it, or you won't. Wes Craven's writing and direction style has always been a love-hate mix. Personally, I love it.

P.S. The movie is called My Soul to Take, not to Keep. :P

Just saw the movie today. I agree with everything said. I liked it but I also can see why it didn't do well. Everyone expected Scream or Nightmare on Elm Street but Wes wrote something that had more drama and deeper characters - so it wasn't killing every 5 seconds.

Anyway, Max is so good in the movie and I'm looking for great things from him...

He was fantastic in my soul to take, I also loved him in House at the end of the street, he plays the part of the tortured soul very well!!!

He did alright with what he had, which wasn't much. Max is a lot better in Bates Motel
The movie itself was AWFUL!
