russia attacked Ukraine for only one reason - it wants to restore USSR.

They liked to be that Empire of Evil that everyone was afraid of and wanted that feeling back. They didnt want to be normal civilized country and move on with current time. They are dying empire that doesnt want to die and desperately clings to its past glory. Its like if UK would not want to lose its colonies and would invade those now independent countries and try to make them part of UK Empire again. It cant be done. its different times now.

Ukraine was the second biggest country in USSR and without it it would be pointless. For 30 years russia tried to put pro-russian president and politicians in charge of Ukraine. But in the end Ukrainians rejected them and wanted to live with Europe and not with those poor, miserable degenerate russians who dont even have toilets inside their homes.

When everything failed - russia invaded. They already basically occupied belarus and Armenia is in their full pocket and does what they order it. After Ukraine would fall - they would quickly invade Moldova and Georgia. Then other ex-soviet countries would follow. And they would have their freakish New USSR.
