Apparently they already are (at least that was what was written in an interview with his ex-wife), don't know why they got divorced.

I have no idea why, but there have been rumors of Justin being gay ever since he became famous. And not just rumors on the IMDB board, but like with Wentworth Miller (Prison Break). And now he's kissing Gabriel Mann on Revenge. Of course that's just a role, but we all know a lot of actors don't want to play gays characters because of what it could do to their career. If he is, it would be cool if like Wentworth he would come out and be an open gay. We (gay people) need famous people to be out and proud!

Easy there with the claiming. People get divorced all the time for all kinds of reasons - why read secret gayness into it? How about we let people be in charge of declaring their own sexuality?

Also, I doubt a closeted actor would go near a gay role, let alone two gay roles. My money's on him being straight, but whatever, it's his business. As long as he keeps flashing that smile on my screen, I'm good.

Easy there with the reply. I'm not saying he is. The OP is asking why he's getting divorced so I'm only saying what's going around ever since he debuted on Smallville. The gay rumors are everywhere. I don't really care since he will never be my boyfriend (LOL), but if he is it would he would be cool if he would be open about is. That was all I'm saying, not claiming anything.

Alright. It just struck me as a bit random and unnecessary to bring up these rumours in response to the divorce news. And a bit irresponsible to then take the speculation a step further into being out and proud territory. This is how complete fabrications turn into persistent rumours that follow people around for years, sometimes with serious consequences.

I kinda understand you. But... this is a message board where we can discuss anything about Justin Hartley which includes rumours. And so what if they are true and he would be gay? Great. If he's not. Great! I don't really care, I was just answering the question the OP asked. And since the rumour is already following him around for 8 years, it's not like I started it or anything. And I also don't think Justin himself cares about them. If so, he never would have taken this gay role on Revenge.

I guess he's been dating an actress on days of our lives, the one that plays Jordan. I forget her name, though, she also played Amanda on all my children.
