I haven't seen him in anything before this is us, as far as I know. I am completely blown away by his subtlety and complex range, he conveys so much w/ so little. He is by far the best actor in a generally very well acted show.
I could be wrong but I feel like the limited complex roles for black lead actors in hollywood may have contributed to him not being a well known leading man by now. Maybe not and he was picky, idk.
I previously watched him in Supernatural and The People vs OJ Simpson. Love him!!!!!

shareJust came here to say the same thing, wow. I was impressed with his improv on SNL. Then binged watched This is Us after. Guests and even the regular cast are not usually that polished. He must have trained as a stage actor. If not, then he is a gifted natural.
The depth he gives to the Randall character on This Is Us is incredible too. Really above and beyond for a tv drama. The other actors are good, but just average tv line readers. He far outshines them all. I hope he gets major leading roles in motion picture films.
Ever since I heard about Frozen II I have developed a crush on Sterling K. Brown and think he is handsome and I think Sterling K. Brown has a long career ahead of him because he really is an actor to watch. It will be interesting what the future will hold for Sterling beyond This Is Us because he will be a superstar in movies and TV
shareHe has really grown on me in the last few years. Recently most of the films he is in do not do great at the box-office, but he does a good job in the roles. He was amazing in Waves.
