Actually she'll be Shane's rival, sort of like Brandon in season 5 of QAF. She might be a love interest for Alice.

i hope they don't have a new love for shane just yet. i mean they need to bring carmen back even for just one episode for some closure. i'd just be very sad if she never came back and they ended it like that.

that's how papi got on the chart because she was with carmen.. she should make shane jealous by being all over papi when they bring her back for her guest star appearance

I'm not sure there's any chemistry between them - they seem set up to be rivals, but their promiscuity takes on different tones: Shane has some deeper want to be loved, Papi has NSA sex for the sake of itself. Shane doesn't treat women like a notch in her belt (generally speaking, although one could argue that), so I'm not sure if they have any need to compete. Papi seems to be the more competitive, while Shane's operating for her own pleasure, not status. But I'm sure that'll wane for Papi as the season goes on and she (hopefully) becomes less of the cartoonish Latino machismo character she is. I wish they'd let Janina play an Indian character - the stereotype of Papi is kind of laughable.

They might hook up, but it's looking like Papi's just fallen into the cast as a friend. Plus Kit seems to be the one that's captured her interest. Or the writers could do a 180 and they could married by Season 5, with this show anything seems to be able to happen.
