She was a front runner to play Wonder Woman (DC) back in 2006 when Joss Wheddon was signed to make a WW movie..as we know, Joss is now heavily involved in the Marvel/Avengers franchise so he could cast her if she is willing...personally, I would not mind her as Ms Marvel, the ONE thing lacking thus far in EVERY MARVEL movie since 2000 (X-MEN) is that there was never a south Asian character at all..the closest was Dr Sarita in the much maligned X-men 3 played by an iranian actress lol..I would love her to appear as Ms Marvel in the next Avengers instalment though her age (33) means they won't be her first choice..

Yes, not as desperate as Aishwarya Rai. The whole Interscope seemed forced, probably by them not her. Teaming up with Pittbull, will.i.am and Thursday Night Football felt pushed on us. Then the Bonnie Raitt cover it just all felt like she wasn't doing it on her own and somebody else was trying to cash in on her beauty.
Also she would show up at strange events that she didn't have anything to do with, I'm just happy she finally landed somewhere solid.
I think she's bigger than Marvel, but I also hate Marvel. I just hope she doesn't take a Marvel gig and sell out just for a role. She could demand better roles with her looks, experience and diversity she is a film casters dream.

As for the events, that's normal. She's signed to CAA and will be invited to their events like The Golden Globes party she was invited. It's important for them to attend because you need to network with other actors. She and her manager actually met Kerry Washinton and Keli Lee (the woman who signed her to a ABC talent deal) at a party.
