The January 6th insurrection was far worse. It was an attempt to violently overthrow the Government by reversing the outcome of a free and fair election.
The protests in 2020 were mostly peaceful protests against police brutality. They're were several instances of property damage, and that's deployable, although not that widespread as some seem to think - our cities weren't "burned down." And there is a lot of evidence that a lot of that was insisted by right wing agitators as well as agitators identifying as "Antifa".
Let's examine what was at the core of each of those things. One was an antidemocratic insurrection against of the the most important aspects of our nation. You seem to support that.
The other was based in outrage over the murder of a black man by police - one in a never ending series of such occurances.
