Correction: he is NOT nominated YET, he is just in the short list. LOL

As I said when Eddie Redmayne was nominated and later won last year, they nominate the most popular (bad) movies and actors so it's not so bad. It's more about who were the most (negatively) talked about.

In the case of Zoolander, yes, a lot of people hated it and it was in a lot of critics worst of the year list (so it definitely will have a lot of nominations!) but in the case of BC's cameo at least a few critics were actually nice about the performance and most people who criticized him were because "political" reasons so IF he is nominated it would probably be more the polemic and least about the performance.

Oops. I didn't read the article yet.

A pity. I have to say that although it was silly I enjoyed Zoolander 2, maybe because I didn't watch the first one. There are movies that I can't finish.

BC was funny.

I saw that the names are mostly big names. I didn't see all the movies so I can't compare.

DC fans are going to insist on Marvel/Disney buying critics.

I haven't watched it so I don't know how bad it is! LOL

I actually like Ben Stiller and I think a lot of the humor in his movies are "ahead of they time". Cable Guy, for example, was vilified at the time but it's a very intelligent comedy; Zoolander was originally completely ignored but Z2 was really hated so I don't know!

Anyway I know it's a very polemic thing to say right now but I think at least BC's character will be considered a great parody of Tumblr politics in a few years.

That's ok! It's hard to argue with this list. These awards are all in good fun. It would be insulting if they nominated bad actors in good movies, but they don't do that. They nominate good actors in bad movies.

If Benedict does end up being nominated, I hope he wins!

Are cameo parts really considered "supporting" roles now? Didn't his part only last a total of about 5 minutes?

Is BC the only actor in this category who was an "under sixes" and nominated in a supporting role?

Other than some idiot on tumblr who started all that transgender "outrage" I thought most people thought BC did a great bit part as "All". Just who did they think would have done a better job with that material?

I saw the excerpts and thought he did wonderfully in that role. And from the other bits I saw of the film he was probably the best thing in it.

Exactly, a possible Razzie nom is a good thing. They mostly nominate the most well-known actors from bad or ridiculous films. They are not insults on anyone's talent (well, sometimes they are *cough* Adam Sandler *cough* but not here obviously.)
