Timeline for Sherlock S4 ? (spoilery)

The Government guy that Mycroft had said "You know what happened to the other one" to, in the Magnusson episode, has no beard in S4 E1 but has a full blown beard in S4 E3 ("Mycroft's in hospital")... so how long has passed between S4 E1 and S4 E3?

E1...Starts straight from the end of S3 E3/Abominable Bride, mary travels a bit then the Mary thingy happens
E2...How long did it take for Sherlock to get to that point
E3...Starts straight from the day (or night) after E2 ends, or thereabouts. BUt it takes months and months at the very end (he enters the facility with the violin many times)

I think E1 has the most time pass by of the three episodes. We see that Sherlock is clean, then Mary gives birth, then the christening - those things take time! And I think E3 has the shortest time span. It happens all in one or two days - apart from the Moriarty flashback and the flash-forward sequence at the end.

It's interesting how they handle time on the show. In ASIP, after we're shown the murders taking place, everything else happens in under 2 days (they meet at St. Bart's just after lunch on one day, and it ends with them going out for dinner the next day). In TGG, they actually have clocks counting down so we can see how much time has passed. ASIB takes place over an entire year. TSOT was all on John and Mary's wedding day, with tons of flashbacks.
