I'm very impressed by him!

I went to this movie pretty much knowing the story and the people in that story. I was going with the attitude of seeing how they portrayed the story in my head. But when I saw the movie, everything in my head went away. It was like watching and listening to the story for the first time! I was very impressed by the actors, especially with Oscar Isaac's performance! I was happy to see how he was able to show the audience that Joseph didn't have to be fearless to make him a hero. I liked how Issac allowed his character to have anger, doubts, and fear. Because that made the audience feel for him when he was stronge and brave! So I must say a job well done for the movie, the actors, and Oscar Isaac! I'll keep a lookout in the future!

I completely agree! I think he did a spectacular job as Joseph. I have to admit, during the whole movie I just wanted to hug him! He was just really good as this role. I think they did the best job with the cast for this movie.

Oscar Isaac did such a good job!

He was by far the best actor in the movie. He didn't have much help form his co-star, and I was a little disappointed in the way the director allowed "Mary" to act or should I say not act. Oscar was amazing and everything I would expect from the character Joseph that I had read so many times before.

me too. i enjoyed seeing such depth from both mary and joseph. made them real and multi-dimensional to me. i loved oscar, look forward to seeing much more ph him!! (as for how mary "Acted" i think it was pretty normal for an average 14 or 15 year old girl who had just been given away in marriage without any choice. of course she wanted to honor her parents, so she did what she was told, but try and put herself in her shoes. anyway, i thought it was neat to see her come around, like when she was washing jospeh's feet, etc. you could kind of see her gradually appreciating and even falling in love with him.)

Hi there! I will have to agree with everyone here about Oscar Isaac's performance in the movie. To be honest I only saw the The Nativity Story 5 days ago! And i couldn't take my eyes off him because he just looks so wonderful as Joseph, and Oscar has definitely given justice to the character.
My Mom even teased me ( cuz I was watching the movie EVERYDAY! ) that my hero now is Joseph. And... why not?

That scene when Mary was washing Joseph's feet and seeing how wayworn he was, it's just so moving and yes I kinda developed a crush on him in that scene=)

I have been doing nothing but make online searches about Oscar (in between breaks at the office ofcourse) and all I hear (or in this cases..read) are wonderful praises about his performances on stage and as an actor in general. Too bad I wasn't able to see any of those....

I couldn't believe Oscar's performance! I honestly don't remember the last time I saw such an earnest, moving performance. Forget the Hollywood mob---he's in a league of his own! As for Keisha Castle-Hughes, I DO wish they'd allowed her to smile and act a little more. Wonderful movie. WONDERFUL ACTOR. He made me love Joseph in a fresh, new way.

I saw his performance as Romeo in Skakespeare in the park this summer. You'd really fall in love with him if you had seen that!
