Movie star looks, flat lifeless actor.

There seems to be a big push trying to turn this guy into a leading man with dismal results. I've seen 3 of his leading role performances (In Secret, Dangerous Year, Davis) and they are flat and lifeless most of the way. He reminds me of Pacino but lacks his intensity, passion and energy. He's probably the Andy Garcia of his day, another good looking actor who underwhelmed in leading roles. Try as they may Issac seems only capable of stretching so far. Ryan Gosling is the most recent case of this. Looks help but it wouldn't hurt to have a little talent to go along with it.

AMVY is a fascinating movie, maybe one of the ten or fifteen bests of 2014, and a gigantic portion of its success lies on Isaac's stellar performance. That particular one made him, in my eyes, the new Al Pacino. I don't understand how one can not get it, or find the movie "uninteresting". There surely isn't much action, but it doesn't lack substance.
