How to fake perfect accent?

He has been rooted in Swedish culture until recently - how does one learn to speak English like a natural born American?? It's almost impossible to lose your mother tongue accent if you immigrated after 12 yo. How in the world does he pull it off unless he was bathed in Swedish AND English from early age?

You can tell something is up with Barrowman's accent. It's pretty perfect, but there's something....I actually thought he was Canadian until I heard him explain otherwise.

Kinnaman and Skarsgard have flawless accents, though. I would never have guessed that they grew up outside the US, let alone that English wasn't their first language.
