I actually saw Run All Night first and something about him just stood out. (I loved his scenes with Liam Neeson. I thoroughly recommend you watching it again.) Then I went searching for what else he had done and found out he was in The Killing. I'd been debating whether I wanted to see The Killing before that but once I knew it had Kinnaman...I binge watched. Oh, man! He gets better and better as that show went on. It still SUCKS how that show fell below the radar. I own the show now and I am slowly rewatching it. And he just gets better the more you watch him!
I personally LOVED the Snabba Cash movies (especially the first two). I totally recommend. I saw Safe House when I didn't know he was in it. I don't know. I'm such a fan now that I'm not sure I want to see him in anything where he is not the lead! ππ I saw Child 44 recently. I wasn't that big of a fan of the movie but I just couldn't take him playing such a minor role in the movie. He was awesome, though. It's a slimy character and he plays it really well.
Annnnnd Robocop! That movie...it was supposed to be his breakout movie. But...BUT...i just felt like it was a solid effort that just wasn't enough. I'm not one of those Robocop fan lovers (of the original movies). I saw the new one for Kinnaman without any baggage from the old one. I have to say - the movie was solid. Kinnaman was solid. Unfortunately, given the kind of mass films they make these days - this movie was very ordinary. There's a reason it didn't do great. It was such a disappointment for me. Kinnaman did not have a heroic role. And the movie did not have a great villain. Both essential for a movie like this to do well. A good, solid movie for this genre will not cut it anymore. And that was sad!
