Questions for the Swedes

Considering that Alex Skarsgard was the one who was with Kate Bosworth for so long, it's amazing that Joel has made him look like a genius in comparison. He looks like such a fool for still being attached to that desperate fameho Munn. So I was wondering if any Swedes could answer this - what do people back in Sweden think of Joel? Is he actually a lot like Munn despite what he has said in interviews with all his 'serious actor' talk? I'm just really curious because I think he's really talented and it's sad he went the famewhore route when he didn't need to.

I think he is a great actor in almost any swedish film he has done. I have not seen The Killing so I can't say anything about his acting there. But one of swedens best young talents i would say. He and skarsgård

Thanks for responding. But what I was really wondering about was his personality. Like, is it well known in Sweden that he is (for lack of a better word) kind of an arrogant douche? Does he just want to be famous and will do anything to get it? That's what I was referring to. Because I just can't reconcile what he has said in interviews to how he seems to have gone "all Hollywood". He says one thing but does another. He comes across as a bit of a phony.

But his acting on The Killing is fantastic. His character, Holder, is one of my personal favorite characters of all time.

Maybe he likes Olivia. Maybe Olivia likes him back.

Crazy, I know.

It's called falling in love, perhaps you haven't heard of it before. You don't choose it, you don't plan it and it certainly isn't based on some random people's opinions on the internet who don't know either party.

Jessica ive heard this about alot, that Swedes often come of as arrogant and Douches for americans. Same thing was when our tv-hostes Fredrik Wikingsson and Filip Hammar was on the podcast "Getting Doug with high". Most of the comments for that show on youtube said that they seemed arrogants and douche.

I think it´s the way we talk and jokes. Swedish peoples humour is very ironic and sarcastic. When we joke we often look and sounds very sincere.

So when we do the same thing in english especially to american audience, they dos´nt quite
take it as a joke. And instead like u, they think of the person as arrogant and that they are a douche.

So its a form of "lost in translation"

Scandinavians are douchebags in general. Just look at how they treat refugees from Syria.

Swedes are cool except the smug dbags from Stockholm.

Kinnaman is not a great actor in my opinion, but I've only seen Fast Cash(or whatever) and House of Cards. I find him to be very stiff and dull, but nice to hear a swede speak pretty good english for once. And that guy from Mr. Robot. I find him to be waaaay better than any actor from Sweden
