Marjorie Taylor Greene Acting Against Trump's Interests, Republican Warns

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene's motion to vacate Mike Johnson from his House speakership role is not in Donald Trump's best interests, warned Representative Bob Good, who chairs the right-wing House Freedom Caucus, on Sunday.

Greene, a Georgia Republican, plans to call for a vote on her previously unprivileged motion to vacate Johnson, a Louisiana Republican, she said last Wednesday. She announced the motion to vacate in March after Johnson worked with Democrats to pass a bill to fund the government, but has grown increasingly critical of Johnson after he also passed a bipartisan bill to secure foreign aid for U.S. allies including Ukraine and Israel in their ongoing war against Russia and Hamas, respectively.

Johnson can only afford two GOP defectors in the vote due to his party's razor-thin majority, assuming all Republicans are present. Representatives Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Paul Gosar of Arizona have said they support Greene's motion to vacate. However, Democratic leadership has signaled they are planning to vacate the motion, potentially saving Johnson's leadership.

"She's pretty much operating on her own with one or two others who have expressed support for what she's doing. She doesn't lead anyone," he told host Chris Stirewalt. "She's not acting in the best interests of President Trump."

Even the GOP thinks she sucks.

RINOs?

She's the equivalent of half the bootlicks on this forum who respond to reports of how much Trump is fucking them by claiming that the opposition must be fucking more people at least as much, it's just that you don't know about it and there's no evidence of it to show anyone.

Clearly it's easier for the GOP pussies to criticise Green than it is for them to denounce her cult leader Donald.

reply

Her complaints seem like serious policy issues. Perhaps even matters of principle.

It might not be politically expeident, but, that doesn't mean she's wrong.

reply

So everyone else is wrong except for MTG?

reply

Pretty close to it, since both sides are more concerned about appeasing APAIC and military/industrial/deep state interests than doing what is best for Americans.

reply

Who are the deep state?

reply

1. I didn't say she was right. I said her reasons seemed like legit policy concerns.

2. Denying the Deep State at this point is... not rational.

reply

What rational evidence do you have to believe that they are actually a thing?

Is this the deep state you're talking about? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_state_in_the_United_States

reply

The straw that, imo broke the back of the conspiracy theory that the Deep State does nto exist was the way that Peter Strzok changed the final report of Hillary and no one said boo about it.

Not so much his personal actions, that could still be explained away as an isolated bad actor,

but the fact that everyone standing around, let is pass. That is THE FBI AS A WHOLE, operating against it's stated, forma, professional responsibilities and in favor of.... something else.

This of course, is not an isolated incident. There were plenty of other examples of the fbi just not only not doing it's job, but actively doing work, that at best wasn't it's job, and at worse was illegal.
