Bad news. Alan Merrill died today due to SARS-CoV-2. He grew up in NYC with Laura Nyro, and wrote some hit songs like I Love Rock'n'Roll. He'd never stopped touring. A great musical artist. Putting another dime in the jukebox to hear his songs.

Sad. I just heard this. I think he once dated Mackenzie Phillips also.
