cant help but blame others for her actions even in retiring. perpetual self victim
https://www.vogue.com/article/serena-williams-retirement-in-her-own-words
"believe me, I never wanted to have to choose between tennis and a family. I don’t think it’s fair. If I were a guy, I wouldn’t be writing this because I’d be out there playing and winning while my wife was doing the physical labor of expanding our family. Maybe I’d be more of a Tom Brady if I had that opportunity. "

it is entirely fair that a woman has to choose between a career and a family, if she wants to enlarge her family and it is not true that a man doesn't have to do that. He also might have to choose a different career that allows him more time with his larger family. Or he might have to be the one giving up the career if his wife is bringing home more money, so he can take care of the children. When children are involved, the careers have to have second place.
shareshes dellusioonal. she thinks having a baby is the reason she cant compete. not that she's 41 playing against 20 year olds in a sport involving endurance, hand eye coordination
https://www.oldest.org/sports/soccer-players/
the oldest soccer players are in their 40s. but notice
1. 5/10 are goalkeepers. a far less cardio intensive positions.
2. being a team sport an older yet talented player can still play an important part among younger less talented ones
3. in solo sports this is far less common, with the exception of golf. but its clear why older players could compete in golf
There are tennis players older than she is, so your reasoning doesn't stand up. She has shown that she can successfully win against younger players. You looked up soccer players instead of what I did which is look up oldest female tennis players. I did not list references since you can look up this yourself.
shareI agree there can be exceptions, but exceptions are not the rule. if you look at the prime/ peak players, most arent. here are the top 5 male players according to stats.
Daniil Medvedev age 26
Alexander Zverev -25
Rafael Nadal - 36
Carlos Alcaraz -19
Stefanos Tsitsipas- 26
noticing a trend?
my reasoning does stand up. it is supported by
-objective statistics of elite athletes age. whether its soccer or tennis
-facts about human biology
Serena was able to dominate of course due to skill, but also sheer strength and power. now that due to age, pregnancy and human biology, she can no longer leverage those advantages as her agility falls far behind.
look other peak female tennis players. they are lean and small. Serena looks like a linebacker in comparison. that worked before as I said when she was younger, but now it doesnt
What is she trying to say there? She has her own wife - that beta guy of a husband. he could babysit her child while she would spent all days practicing and playing and then come home at evening to kiss the child. Like male players do. They have wife that sits at home with kids while they tour.
She can do exact the same and leave her child to her beta husband. She has millions for nannies. Its not a problem.
SHE chooses to spend all her time with her kid. And then somehow blames it on man. Her whole maternity leave could have lasted no more then 10-12 month. Then she could have return and play as if nothing. But she insist on taking her kid with her on every tournament. Men players dont do that with their kids. There are few women players in Tour that have child and continue to play. Azarenka is one example. But they wont talk and complain about it non stop like Serena does.
What "physical labor"? Serena can hire nannies to do that, she is multi-millionaire. I wonder if she realizes that she makes her husband look bad by basically implying that male players have good wives that will take care of children while daddy plays tennis. But Serena’s husband cant take for her kid while mommy is playing.... ))))
Also - she can like.... you know....ADOPT? So many celebrities adopt children and love them fine. Will she not be capable to love a child if it would not come out of her genes and body?
Many female tennis players who want to have children but dont want to end their career could literally adopt. Then have their own when they retire at the age of 33. I wonder why none of them think about that possibility. That would solve the problem of maternity leave in the peak of a sports career.
"What is she trying to say there? "
im the victim. I asked someone defending her on Facebook to name one instance in her entire career where she did something wrong and took responsibility. they couldn't
her entire career is stained by self victimization after self victimization. she sees others as objects in her path. she even referred to a spouse (not hers but one in general) as labor as you said.
im convinced she's a sociopath
You are right, she is delusional. Her form in the past year suggests she is no longer an elite player.
shareher size and strength was a massive advantage and she could out power others.
but if you look at players 99% of them are skinny and lanky. she's not obese by any means, but that extra 20lbs of fat she could lose, as well as being weaker, and slower than before. means she cant compete anymore
she is famous for her chimp out a couple years ago not her tennis skills
shareI think watching TV and eating nice food are two of the nicest things you can do actually. I fell over
in a park and broke y ankle.
That may be
