Alex Jones or Rush Limbaugh?
Which Conservative Talk Radio host is worse?
shareThey are all equally terrible and criminal.
sharei wouldn't know. Rush used to drift into the atmosphere back in the day of AM radio, but now I don't give a flip for either of these jack-ohs.
shareAlex Jones is an AnarchoLibertarianFascist not a conservative
shareDidn’t one of them die?
sharedon lemon and guomo...
shareOne of them would play entire audio clips so that the listener could get the full context and make their mind up with access to all the facts. Then he would give his opinion. I have yearned for a Left Wing host to do the same (they always edit audio to support their narrative and almost never illuminate the context). Maher comes close. He makes an effort to see the big picture instead of just the authorized picture.
The other one is a conspiracy maniac who behaves much more like the Left in so far as decency goes. Jones is not to be taken seriously.
I take my politics a-la-carte. I never fully trust any pundit. So any talking-head that actually provides full context is rare and valuable regardless of political lean. Beware the trusted authority that abridges and controls your information.
tl;dr Rush was biased but pretty fair. Jones is an unhinged conspiracy troll.
"One of them would play entire audio clips so that the listener could get the full context and make their mind up with access to all the facts."
I don't remember Rush ever doing that, I mean, it would be great if he did!
I too hate it when people don't have the sense to figure out where you stand on anything without having the whole picture but that wasn't Rush.
He was the epitome of an echo chamber! The information that he put out was only what reinforced his existing views without giving any legitimacy to honest opposing views. His shows were always an exercise in confirmation bias.

This^ perfectly describes Shawn Hannity but not Rush. But what is funny is the phrasing "without giving any legitimacy to honest opposing views" LOL. That's like saying "Without acknowledging that his opposition are right." He was a right wing talk show host. Of course he was biased! What I liked about him was that he would play entire audio clips or read entire transcripts which is super rare. Most hosts (Left and Right) isolate blurbs from context for the sound bite. If he had a problem with what someone said, it was for exactly what they said and not some spinning sound bite. It made it so I could listen to him, disagree with him, but still feel calm and not outraged. The tolerable right wing radio hosts are dead or done. Now getting both sides of a story is equally painful.
Rush said that women who use birth control were sluts. That is never fair.

Thanks for providing an example of exactly what I'm talking about.
shareTl;dr should go at the beginning not end.
shareThe legacy of Rush Limbaugh lives on and thankfully there are plenty of people to carry on his legacy. Alex Jones may be a conspiracy theorist but he’s not wrong about Globalism and every time a mass shooting happens it only fuels the fire about the potential for a gun grab by the government.
shareHey, they kept saying Obama was gonna take our guns.
You mean that didn't happen?
Obama was a failure as a gun grabber. But the Obama administration did write 41F which eliminated the CLEO signature for ATF form-1's. This was the biggest pro-gun regulation change since Reagan's FOPA.
Trump did not want Obama to have the limelight though, so Trump stole half a million bump stocks from law abiding Americans without compensation by classifying them as contraband machine guns.
