Can a child sex offender ever find redemption in this life?

Most seem to think a murderer can, yet murder is considered in law a more serious offence and as such, carries a longer sentence than sexual assault of a child.

Very interesting and difficult question (albeit not one for a film forum maybe...). What do you think?

reply

Of course he can.
Even more so a billionaire like this fuck.
1 repent
2 admit it
3 apologize
4 try to compensate your victims
5 pay your debt to society
6 name your accomplices

I believe in justice.

There's no getting past pedophilia in my view. That's an unforgiveable and unpardonable crime.

No.

There's something particularly and insidiously evil about someone who would not just think of attacking a child sexually, but actually going through with it.

Fuck em.

reply

Before they could begin to repent for what they did, they would have to fully mentally process that they themselves are responsible for ruining their victims' lives. I doubt they could do that without either wanting to commit suicide or going insane. That's why "functioning" molesters are in serious denial.

reply

It would depend on the individual and the situation.
