Failbender

The Light Between Oceans another flop for Failbender!

reply

Yeah but that's more of a niche film imo. Now if AC bombs.... :/

reply

I don't think it was a niche film.
Assassin Creed's budget is Huge it's like 170-200 million! wish Marion wasn't in this :( if it flops it could kill her US career

2011 was his best year

he gave oscar worthy performances in two totally different style films Jane Eyre and Shame

he became a star in X Men First Class

Box office success doesn't always mean a movie is good or bad. Macbeth didn't make that much money, however I thought it was a truly interesting take on the play and Michael was amazing in it.

Low Box office absolutely doesn't mean that a film is good or bad but actors do need hits every now and again even they want in on decent block busters.

Fassbender is "in" in Hollywood. They love him. He gets good roles and Oscar nominations and is even a critically acclaimed director's muse. His career won't be over if Assassin's Creed flops. People exaggerate about how flops affect careers. All actors have flops and some have bad periods in their careers that they can come back from after one movie. Only actors who were never highly valued careers die after a string of flops.

I do believe that, right, now Fassbender is going through a not so good period in his career. Unless Assassin's Creed is a surprise hit I believe things will get worse before they get better.

But the movie hasn't even premiered in half of the countries, according to IMDb. So how's that a flop? You don't like him? I'd suggest you spend your time bashing someone who really is bad at acting. Fassbender is still one of the most coveted actors at this very moment.

critical and commercial flop

The folks on this board are of the mind that the public is here to help actors explore their personal interests. Actually, actors are public servants and customer service representatives and their jobs are to make entertaining movies for US, the public. Fassbender is one actor who consistently does not do that. Yet he makes tons of Hollywood refundable tax credit movies.
