There's video on Youtube of dump trucks just backing up and dumping their load of plastic and trash in the rivers and oceans, and all they're all in non-western countries.
shareDo you know where most of the western world has been sending it's garbage? Asia and Africa. So no wonder they have all the trash. I mean it's fine for us in the west to blame them for being so environmental. After all we just metaphorically dumped all of our crap over the neighbours fence and now we are complaining about them bringing down property values.

shareThe west does send plastics over to Asia. To insinuate that it isn't a problem is inaccurate as well. If China and Indonesia as the largest polluters of plastics in the Ocean, and it used to be that China received over 50%, up to 7 million tons of the world's plastic, one does have to question why they are such large polluters. Now that China is no longer taking in all that plastic it's going to other countries.
If you really think that the US recycles all of it's plastic itself then why is Malaysia sending back plastic to the US, among other countries?
They are large polluters because they have over a billion people. Not everything can be blamed on the West.
