What a great actor. Hard to believe that it's the same actor who played in Midnight In Paris (also amazingly).
To me he is the anchor of the show. I guess they wanted someone we could symphasize with, and they really go for it.
Plus, Kudos to Fincher and everyone that got House of Cards (re)made.

I loved him in midnight in paris, and even more in this. He is very, very charismatic. It doesn't hurt that he is extremely sexy.

shareI've just finished watching the entire series and agree that Corey Stoll is absolutely outstanding even in comparison to the other superb actors in this great show.
I don't want to give too much away but his performance as a drunk is very moving and accurate. He should get a lot of attention for this role and I look forward to seeing him in many more productions. He has star quality.
