Absolutely brilliant in Midnight in Paris!!

I don't know much about Ernest Hemingway. I've read exactly one novel and over a dozen short stories and of course, I know how he exited this grand life. In spite of my ignorance, I loved Corey's portrayal of H. in Midnight in Paris. He was hilarious and just... brilliant. The rhythm of his speech itself was almost poetic (much like some of Hemingway's writing). Every time he came on the screen the I cracked up.

He wasn't in it for too long, (actually none of the secondary cast are) but it's really worth it just to see him if anyone's having any doubts. I'm definitely not a big Woody Allen fan, but this was pleasantly surprising. Simple, short, and fun.

I agree. The part where he goes on talking in the car during Gil's second encounter, the way Gil responded to all that made me laugh. I also really like the part where Hemingway gets drunk later on and calls for a fight.

It was actually during the scene in the car that a friend I was watching the movie with said, "Oh my god! That is exactly how his books read!" hahah

Agree completely. Stoll was the best part of that film. I just watched Hemingway and Gellhorn, and while I'm a fan of Clive Owen, Stoll did a far superior job. I think a bit too much of Clive Owen came through in his portrayal, where as Stoll (who I am unfamiliar with) seemed to be purely Hemingway. Perhaps that's partly because of my lack of familiarity with him, but either way, I was (slightly) disappointed with Clive Owen's performance.

Also... a little hair goes a long way. Wow. Quite a difference.
