Bad writer...but some of his movie are fun

I have seen all of the movies this guy wrote or co-wrote (not intentionally, he has just written some very popular films). Most of them are terrible, but some are guilty pleasure that are effective.

Thursday- Fun, low budget film that has its moments.
Swordfish- Ridiculous, but the ultimate guilty pleasure that certainly is a product of its time.
Live Free or Die Hard- He was brought on by Bruce Willis to punch up dialogue, so his contributions were miniscule, but it was a decent movie in my opinion. Should have been rate R, instead of watered down violence and reduced foul language given the protagonist's catchphrase.
Hitman- Pretty bad and bland nothing memorable about a story that could have gone in so many different directions for an interesting story.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine- Very bad and kind of an embarrassing entry in the X-Men franchise. Managed to piss off loyal fans and alienate potential ones. Even Hugh Jackman regrets the film.
The A-Team- I get that the show was campy and was entertaining at the time, but the movie takes the action and pumps it full of steroids and makes is so insane, unbelievable, and ridiculous that it takes you right out of the story, despite having a talented cast.
A Good Day To Die Hard- Holy crap did this film suck. I really cannot think of a good thing to say about this. I am shocked that everyone involved with the film said "yeah this is good."
Sabotage- This film is stupid and insane, but I love it. Every character is deplorable, and the violence is graphic and constant, but it did keep me entertained and it was pretty dark for a Schwarzenegger film.
Hitman: Agent 47- Very bad, if anything it makes Hitman seem competently written I really do not know what anyone was thinking in getting the same writer to do the remake. (Strangely this has happened again with getting the same writer Simon Kinberg to do a reboot of the X-Men film and make it worse) It just managed to tank any chance of a franchise and show us how uneven this guys writing is. Since this he has not been involved in the film industry for 5 years.
