In the wake of the Orland FL shooting Mara made awareness to her own sexuality, how she was at first uncomfortable attending a gay club at age 18, but has decided to embrace her identity as "Bi/Queer" and admits she has had relationships with men and women.

I think it's a very positive thing. So many gay people, especially youths, live needlessly with fear or shame because of who they are. That's not right. The more people publicly discuss this aspect of their lives, the more comfortable other gay people might become, and that will help them lead happier, more productive lives. If that's who she is, and she feels it is a useful time to share that, then I'm all for it.
Oh, and for any who feel like criticizing Mara Wilson for what she's done, please observe, and be afraid.
