I Am Appauled By The Deaths Of Alton Sterling And Castile

Its truly sad and disturbing the way these 2 men were murdered. Sterling was subdued and no longer a threat to anyone. And he gets shot!? Give me a fugging break. Do these dumbass racist white cops know that they are not only hurting the black community? And making white people look bad. This is not a sarcastic post. I am DISGUSTED. This must end.

I could not agree more. Its completely unacceptable. Abuse by Police is happening every day, all across the United States against people of all races and thats why this needs to be about stoping police abuse. But yeah, the images of those two men being murdered is just so awful. So unnecessary and completely unacceptable.

The big problem with some cops is they treat Poor or working class of any race worst because they don't have the money to lawyer up. The liberal media won't talk about whites killed or abused nearly as much because it doesn't fit the liberal agenda.

Recently came across an article from a young woman who described her own experience with a violent police officer: https://mic.com/articles/148294/this-white-woman-s-shocking-account-of-police-brutality-has-a-lesson-about-race-in-america?utm_source=policymicTBLR&utm_medium=main&utm_campaign=social

She is white, so yes indeed, police abuse IS happening to Americans of different races. But she also goes on to say that she feels the situation could've ended far worse if she'd been Black. The cop in question already kicked her in the ribs. Laughed about it in court. If he was willing to viciously attack a woman of his own race, I can't imagine what he would've done to someone else. The problem lies with off-kilter men who enter the police force not to protect and serve, not to contribute to their communities, not to be a figure members of the community can place their trust in. Certain men join because of their hate and contempt for the ‘others’. Others are anyone who does not share their mirror image. It is a power kick, a surge of control they crave and wish to wield over innocent citizens like WEAPONS.

The more people, black and white, male and female, who condemn this savagery, the more we move towards being the kind of country we are meant to be.

Bingo. Anybody who spends one minute researching the statistics, as well as the numerous unarmed white men killed by police in circumstances in which it seemed they could be subdued easily without lethal force, quickly realizes that the privileged media coverage of black men is highly suspicious. It's all about web hits and ratings. The death of black men sells because it's sure to rile up the ignorant masses. Hacks like Charles Blow simultaneously feigns sadness while being overjoyed at the news of another police shooting, since this is how he makes his living. He has no other game. Meanwhile, white guys like Gilbert Collar (killed by a black cop) are all but forgotten: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/05/gil-collar-grand-jury-trevis-austin_n_2812514.html

I will agree. The wrongful deaths of white people do not even reach NEAR the type of notoriety that black deaths do but. I want to stay on topic. These 2 men were MURDERED.

Based on what I've seen, in Sterling's case I would agree, but Castile was not murdered. That's unhelpful hyperbole. It seems he was killed by a dumb, panicky cop who had no business being a cop in the first place. It was more like the Akai Gurley case.

I don't take BLM seriously because of the rampant racism that oozes out of them every time they make noise. However, if you insist on remaining on topic, it's "appalled".

I have to agree that it appears Sterling should not have been shot like that. Even if he were going for the gun in his pocket he was already subdued. It's pretty clear that the cop at least thought Castile was going for the gun and loudmouthed Diamond Lucite or whatever did her boyfriend no favors yelling that he had a permit (which means he had a gun).

@ccr1633

Look,you racist a** troll, no one gives a fck what the hell you think. All you ever have to say about black people is some negative racist bull****. Nobody gives a straight-up fck what the hell you think. BLM was started to highlight the fact that black people are profiled,criminalized and the fact that they get shot by the police a hell of lot more often than black people, and that they are quicker to shoot black folks over dumb s*** that they would let a white person slide by for. Why the fck would you not take that seriously? Of course racist idiots like you never take anything by black people seriously, so fck you. An dyes, Castile was murdered----what the fck do you call shooting an unarmed man (Castile)point-blank four times for nothing---because a stupid-a** cop panicked simply because Castile said he had a weapon (it was in the car)and even though he was complying with everything the cop said to do? Fck off with that *beep*
