Interested! I am very interested. The hard part is justifying the cost from Australia, especially after going to London to see Ben in Peter and Alice.
Oh, and persuading my husband that I haven't got some mid-life crush on some actor!
It's one of my favorite plays.
And Ben Whishaw as John Proctor
Sophie Okonedo as Mrs.Proctor
Ciaran Hinds
Saoirse Ronan as Abigail
Great cast in a great play.
We have to move Australia closer to NYC.

I know! I know!!
I haven't caved yet.
Funny thing is I found when I went to London for Peter and Alice I had to book to see the play twice. This was because I became paranoid that Ben would be sick on my night and I would travel to the other side of the world just to see his understudy.
Apparently Ivo Van Hove is one of the most in demand theatre directors at the moment. I think he will put a very dramatic stamp on the play if what I saw in his other play A View From The Bridge is anything to go by.
A View From The Bridge is also having a season at Broadway next year.
Thinking, thinking...
Don't blame you for booking to see the play twice and anyway coming all that way might as well see it twice!
I hadn't heard anything about this production until it popped up as coming in 2016. Then I opened up the NY Times last Saturday and there was a two page ad for it with tickets on sale that morning!
Ivo Van Hove should do a great job with this. I like his non traditional casting too.

Well spotted! I hope you enjoy it.
I'd love to see that, saw Richard Armitage in the role at the Old Vic last year. Unfortunately I don't think I could persuade my husband that it's reasonable for me to fly out to NYC to go to see a play, maybe it'll transfer to London, that would be cool.
shareSo excited! Got third row seats for March 18. This will be the third play of Ben's that I've seen and Ciaran Hinds is a favorite too.
shareThird row! That is great!
