Was he dubbed in Pure (2002)?

Although I love Daisy, I will be the first person to admit he is not a very capable voice- and accent actor. In Pure he plays a Liverpool guy and it does NOT sound like him AT ALL. Just...like a completely different actor. Does anyone know if they overwrote his bit in ADR or what?

No, no, no. That was no Scouse accent in 'Pure'. Sarf'(?) London or Cockney - the character was definitely from the south-east (the film is set in London).

Don't know if was dubbed - I just assumed it was DW doing another of his 'voices'. And though I'd have to agree that in some of his films some of the accents are...of variable quality ('Dust' - we're looking at you here) from what I remember, in 'Pure' the accent was top-notch. He was like a better-looking, more sinister Arfur' Daley from 'Minder', what with that camel coat, and all.

Anyway, he still gets my vote for aiming to portray different characters in each of his films. It's not 'cool' these days, when practically ever big-name actor you see in films turns in the exact same performance every time you see them...turns in the exact same performance as every other big-name actor you see in films, now I come to think about it....

Actually, accent origin aside, I'm almost 100% sure he was dubbed. There are no similarities between his voice and the character's he plays.
