Michael's future - in front of or behind the camera?

When you look at it, Michael really has had a long career in front of the camera....

However he's gotten a chance at NCIS to be behind the camera.

Wonder what the future holds....

What do you all think of his various roles in front of the camera? and the work he's done directing 2 NCIS eps?

I think he could go either way, I find that his acting is amazing, but his sense of the scenes and how he interprets them is also amazing. I could see him directing a movie one day.

The deleted scene from One Last Score shows he knows the importance of playing out the actual story as well...

I'd love to see him behind the camera because he really seems to enjoy the creative exercise and I love how he isn't afraid to experiment and try different angles and approaches to see what works and how they work. His two episodes were so visually interesting and both had a totally different approach and feel to them.

With that said, I find his acting to be absolutely amazing! For strictly selfish reasons, I would hate to see him disappear behind the camera. He is a chameleon with an amazing range and stage presence. Even when he isn't the focus of a scene, I love to watch him, because he is always doing something interesting and making even more of any scene he's in.

He is remarkably talented in both arenas...I would be hard pressed to say which I prefer, I would love for him to do more directing as long as he also makes appearances in front of the camera...that is for purely selfish reasons...I want to see that handsome face!
