Weatherly and Robert Wagner should do updated It Takes a Thief

Robert Wagner would play the father's role that Fred Astaire played and Weatherly would be Alexander Mundy in an updated version of the old series.

Instead of a regular series it could be a few made-for-TV movies every year.

If they did a reboot that would be OK. But as much as I loved Fred Astaire, I thought It Takes a Thief jumped the shark when they brought Mundy's father on. It was purely for ratings as the show was slipping. It's like when they introduce an obnoxious kid to a show. The long lost illegitimate whatever. It always sucks.
