The *beep* happened to his career?

After Inglorious Bastards, everybody thought this guy was going to have the pick of the litter in regards to scripts and roles. Unfortunately, the only noteworthy thing he's done since is another QT film Django Unchained. What the hell happened? Either he's just taking whatever pays the most or he and his agent are really bad at picking out scripts. I would think there'd be thousands of screenwriters out there writing scripts with Christoph Waltz in mind for a character.

He won the oscar with Django, plus play Blofeld in a James Bond film, could be worst I guess.

Been in a few things since Django and I agree, he should be in a bit more than he is. I think he and his agent may just be a little picky when it comes to what he acts in. Not sure though. :)

Well he has two oscars so maybe now he is just making bank and doing whatever has the biggest paycheck. I think the two roles he wins Oscars for were outstanding but he seems to play very similar roles in all movies.

So what? He seems to choose his roles carefully because he doesn't want to overdo himself. A lot of actors take too many jobs and overwhelm themselves. If he were in almost every other popular movie out now people would complain that he was too overexposed. Jesus, people are so picky. He's been in several great movies since IB. He just starred in Spectre and he's doing a romantic comedy and an action flick that are set to come out this year; he also has a couple of movies in production, one with him directing. Leave the man alone. His career is doing fine.

I think this guy can't act anything other than a serious version of himself. He's the same in every movie.

That said, I appreciate immensely that he's not in every movie like Chris Hemsworth seems to be now (though Hemsworth is actually a decent actor).
