They made The Matrix, which was an iconic movie that will be remembered forever. Yes, everything else they made is complete shit, but for that one moment in time, they were magnificent, and I am grateful to them for that
(yes, V for Vendetta was good, but their only contribution was the screenplay).

It seems they didn't want to do a fourth Matrix movie but were forced to so Lana filled it with a lot of in-jokes. Why they think they're too good to keep making Matrix sequels is baffling considering everything else they've made is shit.
They seem to think they're film-making titans. Think they believed their own hype after the first Matrix film. Oh and all their other films look like crap too. Weird grungy make up and effects. Kind of like themselves.
