Our family is moving to Canada

With the recent polls telling us that Trump will prevail AGAIN despite all his legal problems and possible (deserved) prison time, it’s clear that voters will pick anybody despite their flaws. And Trump is infamous and rich, and that’s what social media thrives on.

I don’t like the idea of moving to Canada, but my wife says it’s for the best. We have no children and are tired of the American culture of “me, me, me!” We will be happier to be out of the United States and in a country that’s still close enough to America and still respects the justice system.

“People don’t want to be wrong”, an old colleague of mine told me over breakfast. “So no matter how bad Trump is, they’ll still vote for him simply to stop Sleepy Joe from getting more bed rest for another 4 years.”

I admit the last quote made me chuckle even writing it. Both candidates are too old and tired. Why can’t we elect a younger and fresher face on both sides? People in their 80s shouldn’t be making decisions for the future. They should be finalising their life insurance policies and getting that pre-need ready at the funeral home.
